Demo Reel Breakdown
Segment 1: Pop-Up Book to Establishing Shot
This clip is a solo project taken from my thesis. The modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering were made in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. It was composited in Adobe After Effects and edited in Premiere. The full pop up book runs in HTML5 created in Adobe Edge Animate.
Segment 2: Spoon Man
This was a solo project. It was modeled, rigged, animated, and rendered in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. The HDRI lighting was done with a light probe compiled in HDR Shop. The camera motions were synced with the live footage in Match mover, and the footage was composited in Adobe After Effects.
Segment 3: Tuba-Goose Returns with a Shoe
The goose with a tuba was created in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. The shoe and background were composited on different layers in After Effects.
Segment 4: Pac-Man Ghost
This was modeled in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. The camera motions were captured in Match Mover, and the footage was composited in After Effects.
Segment 5: Stunt Double
The face was captured in 123D Catch, it was then fixed and retopologized into a low poly model in Mudbox
Segment 6: Old Dog
The model was created in Maya, and the texture and details were created in Mudbox.
Segment 7: Low Poly Old Dog Talking
The dog was created rigged and animated in Maya to match the voice, recorded in Audition.
Segment 8: Booknado
This was procedurally modeled in Houdini and animated with force areas particle generators, and attractors.
Segment 9: Water Rocket
This was procedurally modeled in Houdini and animated with force areas particle generators, attractors, and fluid simulation.
Segment 10: VR Experience
This was a collaborative VR experience using Unity, Maya, Motionbuilder, and a Vicon motion capture system, running on the HTC Vive. I was responsible for modeling the interior and the props and I created and edited many of the Unity assets.
